SETI Institute: Multidisciplinary Research on Life, Intelligence, and the Cosmos

SETI Institute advances humanity's understanding of the origins and prevalence of life and intelligence in the universe by integrating astrobiology, astronomy and astrophysics, data science, exoplanetary science, heliophysics, and technosignature research through the Carl Sagan Center for Research, the Allen Telescope Array, the Very Large Array missions, LaserSETI, the Virtual Planetary Laboratory, InVADER hydrothermal vent research, and programs such as STRIDE and ARDC, supported by a diverse team of scientists, engineers, educators, and postdocs, with education and outreach initiatives like SETI 101 and internships, observatories such as Hat Creek, and broad dissemination of findings, all aimed at revealing how common life and intelligence are and inspiring global curiosity about our place in the cosmos as a 501(c)(3) organization based in Mountain View, California.
