AI-Driven Classification of Canadian UFO Sightings and the Push for a Public Monitoring Agency

To the point

Chris Rutkowski of Ufology Research says artificial intelligence will help tell if a sky sighting is a bird, a plane, a satellite, or something unknown as Canada logs more reports, and Harvard’s Galileo Project is using AI to classify observations; last year Canada recorded 1,052 sightings, about half of which were satellites or stars and just over 3 percent unexplained, and while unknown does not prove extraterrestrial visitation, many cases will have ordinary explanations, with reports from every province (Ontario usually the most), nationwide data incomplete because some groups withhold information, Rutkowski supporting a federal public facing agency to monitor sightings, and about one in ten Canadians saying they have seen a UFO.
