The United States is increasing openness about unidentified aerial phenomena by releasing a large batch of Pentagon documents, photographs, and videos to shift from dismissals to formal study, foster collaboration among government agencies, researchers, and international partners such as France, the United Kingdom, and Brazil, and address policy, security, and science questions, even as many sightings remain unexplained and are not believed to be foreign or secret programs.
