DoD created the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) to coordinate across DoD and other federal agencies in detecting, identifying, and addressing anomalous objects in space, air, sea, and near military areas, expanding the previous office; Kathleen Hicks named Dr. Sean M. Kirkpatrick as director and Ronald Moultrie leads the AARO Executive Council, with six lines of effort—Surveillance, Collection and Reporting; System Capabilities and Design; Intelligence Operations and Analysis; Mitigation and Defeat; Governance; and Science and Technology—to improve intelligence, analysis, and rapid response for national security.
