2024 NDAA Requires Digital Transfer of Public UAP Records to NARA (Record Group 615) by Sept. 30, 2025, with Rolling Transfers for Records Identified by Oct. 20, 2024

To the point

Federal agencies with publicly releasable UAP records must transfer digital copies to NARA by September 30, 2025, with rolling transfers for records identified by October 20, 2024, after contacting [email protected] to share transfer plans, and each record must include metadata per AC 26.2024, with redacted records requiring both redacted and unredacted copies to be transferred, since NARA only accepts digital versions to be placed in Record Group 615, while further guidance on reviewing and transferring classified or restricted UAP records under Section 1843 will follow, signed by William Fischer and Chris Naylor.
