Square Kilometre Array: Building a Global Radio Telescope to Probe the Distant Universe

To the point

An international project called the Square Kilometre Array will link thousands of radio antennas in Australia and South Africa to form an ultra‑sensitive, continent‑scale telescope that uses interferometry for very sharp views of the cosmos, enabling studies of galaxy formation through hydrogen signals, the nature of dark energy and dark matter, magnetic fields across the Milky Way, searches for life and alien tech signs, and tests of gravity with pulsars around black holes, built on precursors and global collaboration.
