The game centers on conversation as the key mechanic to uncover true identities and motives of aliens seeking to enter Earth, with players deciding whether to accept or reject their applications. You play as someone awakened from 150 years of cryosleep who must assume the role of Alien Entry Examiner despite amnesia. Interrogation can involve summoning different aliens to explore motives, using various combinations to learn more about why they want to come to Earth. The experience is described as being inspired by Papers, Please and similar titles, with the aliens clearly not being human.
