Dr. Jim Sagala, a mechanical engineer turned physicist, was recruited to study medical injuries linked to anomalous phenomena at Skinwalker Ranch and ultimately built a global sensor network (MUPAS) that measures environmental and physiological data in real time inside participants’ homes. The approach couples environmental measurements—gamma rays, electromagnetic fields, magnetic, gravity, gyroscopic signals, infrasound, radiation, and more—with participants’ narrated experiences, using a cloud-based portal and AI to align data with reports. Phase one, involving about 36 participants, yielded thousands of data points but only around 300 strong correlations, achieving about 4.5 sigma and aiming for 5 sigma with a goal of 10,000 participants. The anomalies appear to be triggered by the presence of people on properties, and the data include reports of injuries, lesions, and other physiological effects along with phenomena like the hitchhiker effect, where experiences spread to others. Phase two expands with newer, more affordable devices—MUAS Mini sensors (with MEMS sensors and an optional microwave module) and a MUPAS Biometric smartwatch to track tremors, heart rate, and movement—dispersed globally to gather broader data. Sagala emphasizes openness to multiple explanations, from electromagnetic influences and time-space distortions to possible warp phenomena or even wormhole-like interactions, all while pursuing rigorous, peer‑review‑ready results. He sees the phenomenon as a conduit between environments and people, with some individuals acting as antennas who experience more profound effects, including both conscious and physical abduction narratives across distances. Finally, the project plans to publish methodological papers and eventually full results as 5-sigma thresholds are reached, while inviting participation from universities and researchers to analyze the anonymized data.
