Harvard astronomy professor Avi Loeb has formed a voluntary 18‑member UAP Science Advisory Council, largely drawn from Harvard and the Galileo Project, with members such as Michael Shermer, Ben Lamm, Jacob Haqq-Misra, and Ravi Kopparapu, to study unidentified aerial phenomena, coordinate investigations via a parallel Governing Board, and push for declassification of about 50 items, while improving access to data and operating independently of the White House or ODNI with no university budget.
