GCSB Five Eyes UAP intelligence holdings and war.gov/PURSUE consultation - a Official Information Act request to Government Communications Security Bureau
Andrew Arkins filed an Official Information Act request with the Government Communications Security Bureau seeking (1) any communications, briefing documents, assessments, or intelligence reports shared between GCSB and Five Eyes partners related to UAP or UFO from 2020 to present; (2) materials related to the Five Eyes Inaugural UAP Caucus Working Group meeting at the Pentagon on 24 May 2023 and any follow-up data-sharing arrangements, noting the New Zealand Defence Force’s written confirmation that classified US UAP intelligence was provided to NZ under s6(b)(i) and that GCSB is a likely conduit; (3) any GCSB communications regarding the PURSUE declassifications released by the US on 8 May and 22 May 2026, and whether New Zealand was notified or consulted; (4) confirmation of the existence of any confidential materials from US partners on UAP held by GCSB that cannot be disclosed under the relevant provisions, in light of public declassifications; and (5) internal GCSB policy, guidance, or directives on handling UAP-related intelligence from Five Eyes partners, with responses within 20 working days and a deadline of June 26, 2026, and details of any refusals under s18 or s6 with a s28 existence confirmation for withheld documents.
